lyrics
It feels like your gonna explode
your mind is not made of stone
your soul asks for more
we're gonna lose control
at the end of the day
It's your choice if you leave or stay
there is no winner in this game
no matter how hard you play
you're laying down your life
you're flirting with the death
laying down your life
and you will be next
the rope is around your neck
you say you're living day by day
and no matter what they say
they can't release these chains
I see the fire in your eyes
you're fighting to survive
You must come out on top
Before the break of dawn
you're laying down your life
you're flirting with the death
laying down your life
and you will be next
Solo – Carlos Wild
here everything has a price and you have to pay
this is the final chance
so as long I’m on this road, I'll keep walking on my own
it’s hard to live this way of life
you are laying down your life!

If Elric had a soundtrack it would be this. It's everything you want from a epic metal album. Like a hot poker in the eye, but in a good way. Scott Malthouse

Yet another album I’m addicted to. This is definitely one of my favorite NWOTHM releases. It reminds me of being a teenager and discovering Iron Maiden. Love the sci-fi themes. Sludge Mouf

So I can't leave a long enough review to say everything I want. But I will say this, I love this EP. It's a great little follow up to times, and has just enough of a dynamic shift in sound to prove that Smoulder isn't a one trick pony with their first album's formula. This one really plays up the 70s prog aspects (DUST and Manilla Road influences definitely shine through even harder here). It's still Smoulder, don't get me wrong. Just a different side in some ways, all of which are good. playfulpooka
